What To Expect
Make your way to the Little Big Econ Canoe launch prior to a 9 a.m. departure time. Meet your guide to sign a waiver and go over paddling basics and safety, and then jump in and hit the water for your 3-hour tour.
Paddle with your group down a portion of the Econlockhatchee River in Little Big Econ State Forest, known for its moss-covered cypress forests and high sandy banks. After three hours, break for a light picnic-style lunch, and then continue rowing.
Throughout the tour, your guide will help you navigate the waters and spot native wildlife like alligators, hawks, and river otters.
At the end of your trip, a private shuttle will drive you 15 minutes back to your car.
